Features
Because every decoy is 100%
hand-crafted, each decoy is unique. Subtle changes in body
style or head orientation contribute to making each Double-R Decoy
spread collectively unique.
Heads are made from white
pine, bald cypress, or water tupelo.
Bodies are constructed from
durable, high-density cork unless otherwise requested. High-density
cork utilizes synthetic adhesives to bind cork particles. Unlike
low-density (or Portugal) cork, which relies on the binding properties
of natural cork resins, high-density cork is voidless, impervious
to water, and does not require the use of wooden inserts to augment tail
strength.
Decoys are painted with artist-quality
acrylics, which emanate a slight luster and retain their rich, lifelike
colors forever. All surfaces are first prepared with gesso primer.
Heads feature quality, glass
waterfowl eyes.
Keels consist of treated pine
and are available in several styles, depending on your anticipated hunting
conditions or personal preferences.
